Constantine II BEAT TRANQLITAS from London
« on: November 26, 2013, 12:25:26 PM »
This coin has an unlisted bust type. If it had a just a globe instead of a victory on a globe, it would be an M1 bust. Lech has a few other examples on his Not in RIC page. This example sold for 112 euros.

Constantine II
18mm   2.3gm
CONSTANTI-NVS IVN NC; laureate and cuirassed bust left with Victory on globe in right hand.
BEAT TRA-NQLITAS; globe on altar inscribed VOT/IS/XX in three lines; above, three stars.
In ex. PLON
Cf. RIC VII London 288
