My newest coin...after getting a SPES PVBLIC, I needed a better example of this type to finish out my Constantinople reverses only struck for Constantine I after the Civil War.

Constantine I
A.D. 327- 328
20mm    3.0g
CONSTANTINVS MAX AVG; diademed head right
LIBERTAS PVBLICA; Victory standing left on galley, wreath in both hands; in left field B.
in ex. CONS
RIC VII Constantinople 25

Heliodromus

Nice coin, but of course you realize you need the diademed SPES PVBLIC to complete the set !  ;D

Victor

actually I need diademed and laureate of each type to complete it...but I will take a break for now-- especially from buying any more SPES PVBLIC coins; because if I don't take a break, I will be broke!  :D

What about this one?

That is a nicely silvered one. I have a laureate example, but I was looking for a nicer example of the type for my page. I also have another diademed example.

Congratulations on soundly beating my a** for that coin! I also rather badly want a very nice example of this coin, but evidently another day.

I was wondering who I was bidding against. Of course, I am sure I overpaid, but I was already picturing it in my tray and the condition is excellent. You know you overpaid when you get an email from the auction house with highlights and your win is one of them.  :P
