Hi all,

I recently acquired the example below. What I found interesting was that it seems that the engraver forgot to carve the complete line/curve for the door. It looks like they started to do it but then forgot as the blocks in the lower layers just end. Although quite niche it will make a nice addition to my collection. It also seems as though they later added an extra layer at the top between the turrets as the turrets protrude into the top layer.

Constantine II 329-330AD
Laureate, draped, cuirassed left, CONSTANTINVS IVN NOB C
Campgate, 12 layers, 2 turrets, star above, wreath in l., I in r., PROVIDEN-TIAE CAESS
SMAL dot
RIC VII Alexandria 55, R4, no line carved for door.
