I bought this coin as a curiosity...it looks like it was nailed to something.

That's interesting!

With so many holes, most of which hardly go through, it doesn't seem like the coin itself was the focus here. It almost looks like someone was using this for drilling practice.

Yesterday, I was thinking about what seems like some animosity towards the coin and thought of the scene in the Steve Martin movie "The Jerk" where the guy is shooting at him but hitting oil cans and Steve says "He hates these cans" except in this situation it is "he hates this coin"

I also just realized that I should have titled this thread "A holey coin"  ;D
