Removing fake sand patina

Vcoins dealer Athena is well-known for applying fake sand patinas to his coins. If you look at his bronze coins, many have a uniform orange appearance. Below is one I bought from him. I soaked it in acetone and scrubbed with a nylon brush and removed a bit of the glued on patina. I think that much of what is left is natural sand patina. The top is before and bottom is after.
