I have the opposite preference. I would happily trade my paper books for a good PDF files. For example, Gautier's book on silver coins of the Tetrarchy which I have right now before me. Very heavy and unwieldy.

it was a copy of  Revue belge de Numismatique et de sigillographie 1977; which I wanted for the King article on the Appleford Hoard. I have it is a .pdf; but I like to have actual books. I found another copy for sale; but it is 40 eur shipping for a 30 eur books, so I will pass.

Was it something rare or common? Because sometimes refunding still doesn't make one happy.

  I received an empty box yesterday that was supposed to have a book in it. The package was not secure enough and the book slipped out. It was stamped "Received without contents" and "Received unsealed" The bookseller refunded me without any problems.

Obviously the coin looks now much much better! I wonder why BM can't afford this magic alconox to clean their part of Rauceby Hoard.

I used alconox

I just won this rare type for Magnentius. The reverse legend translates as "Renewal/rebirth of the city of Rome" in reference to the defeat of Nepotian; which is funny, since Nepotian issued this type first when he very briefly took control of the city from Magnentius. I will be cracking it out of the slab ASAP.

It was interesting that the auction made no reference to this being such a rare type; the title was merely--

"Magnentius, AD 350-353 ROMAN EMPIRE AE2 (BI Centenionalis) Copper Coin NGC CH VF"

I guess that the seller had no idea how rare of a coin it was.

What I said was that it was indeed originally an F; then the engraver changed it for the S-P issue.
