While the coin/weight above was still on my mind, I managed to buy a similarly modified on in the latest Savoca Auction

Cannot wait to have it hand. It appears to be almost double the weight of initial coin.

Hi Victor,

Just received the coin. It indeed weighs 2.8g. It feels heavy and it seems to be slightly thicker than what you would normally see on these campgates. The original flan must have been quite chunky.

that's interesting...thick flan or maybe struck on two flans. I have a VLPP that has two flans that accidentally got struck/ stuck together and it weighs 5.8g

not a campgate, it's a Constantine DAFNE from Constantinople. It was part of group lot, so I don't have the weight; but I will guess circa 1.5g
