Maximianus GENIO from Alexandria...before and after
« on: June 24, 2020, 09:55:41 AM »
I bought this coin because it is the series that was struck under the authority of Domitius Domitianus. I was just going to initally clean the green off, but it was still a mess, so I brushed it with a brass bristle brush until it was pretty much stripped to the surface and used a little Jax to repatinate it. The surfaces are a bit rough and I would not go so far as to say I am happy with it; but I like it better now.
