Constantine II campgate from Arles with unusual doors

This Constantine II campgate has an unusual design in the center panel of each door. Perhaps it is meant to be the door handles.

R/ VIRTVS CAESS / TA croissant RL. (la vertu des Césars) Porte de camp pourvue de battants ouverte surmontée de quatre tourelles ; au dessus, une étoile.

I have a similar one. I also thought it was doorhandles or even cornucopias. Interesting to see there is another mintmark with the variety.
