I was pretty excited to see this coin yesterday. There is a star on the shoulder and I can't recall ever seeing another example. I love little touches like this that elevate an otherwise common coin.

I was watching that one too - neat coin!

So, I did a little research in the nummus bible database, and it turns out that siscia vlpp decorated shoulders for the caesars is a thing! Who knew?!

Can't let the boss have all the fun with decorated shields and helmets I suppose!

part of the reason is that Augusti did not have the same bust type.

I did find a Constantine II that I sold with a star.
