A couple of eye-popping results from this morning's Leu 15 auction:

$915 with the juice for this one (lot 2195)

Helena Secvritas Reipvblice Trier 327-328 (PTRE, RIC VII Trier 508) 18mm 3.32g $978 - Leu 15.2196.jpg

$978 for this one (lot 2196)

Maybe the bidders thought it was Rembini or Zimbabwean dollars, not CHF ?

Some nice coins, but I couldn't stomach the fake patina on many of them (which only lot # 2158 mentioned).

A fool and his money...it seems crazy, but whoever bought them is probably wealthy. Years from now they will wind up selling again for $75.  ::)
