Title: Licinius I INVICT votive from Ticinum
Post by: Victor on September 15, 2014, 01:58:30 PM
This coin has a rarer reverse legend for Licinius I that gives him the title of INVICT[VS]. It is interesting because Licinius was not exactly unconquerable or undefeated, as Constantine was the victor in the first civil war. This coin was issued before the second war between them, maybe in an attempt to mend their relationship, except that was not really Constantine's style.
