Title: Interesting LRB lot
Post by: Victor on August 31, 2014, 03:11:53 PM
Here is a lot that just sold for $283.99. I was most interested in the Constantine II coin. I was the underbidder, but maybe I was lucky, because I was concerned that the coin might not clean up well...or at all, especially the nasty spot of corrosion in the mintmark area. Unfortunately coins dug in the UK are all too often in a poor state of preservation.

Great coin. If i were the owner i will send it to a prefessional restorator.

If this is one of the "holding horse by the bridle" bust types and it cleans nicely it was well worth the price. But the look of the reverse is not that encouraging :/
