Browsing through auctions, fixed price sales and different forums, I came across this coin that has me puzzled.
Here is the source for it: http://www.nummus-bibleii.com/t1867p105-les-autres-de-la-collection-crispus
I have never seen another Decentius Augustus and to me this coin pictured here doesn't really look official.
Any thoughts?
It has to be unofficial. The style is not right and Decentius was never Augustus. He was always Caesar under his brother and when Magnentius committed suicide, Decentius also committed suicide as soon as he got the news, so he never declared himself Augustus.
Thanks for the confirmation. It is a very interesting coin nonetheless.
