here's a nice example of this silvered type...much rarer than its billon counterpart struck in A.D. 313
Constantine I
A.D. 318-319
Silvered nummus
18mm 3.2g
IMP CONSTANTINVS AVG; high crested helmet, cuirassed, spear over right shoulder, in l. parazonium(?).
VICTORIAE LAETAE PRINC PERP; two Victories stg., facing one another, together holding wreath inscribed VOT PR on altar.
In ex. PTR
RIC VII Trier 208A
Ex Brian Henry Grover Collection
Very nice coin, but what makes you think it's not the 313 AD 20% billion ?
From both the surface appearance and bust style, I'd guess it is the 313 AD one (and I also think the initial - but not subsequent - Trier issue in 318-319 may have been officina "S" only to avoid confusion).
You can see areas where the silvering is not present. I will have it in hand soon.
