This is a very common issue, but I picked it up because I can't recall ever seeing a bust of Constantine I (or anyone else) wearing a cuirass of scale armor. Have you guys seen these before? Please post if you do.
Constantine I
BI Follis
CONSTANTINVS P F AVG - Laureate and cuirassed (with scale armor) bust of Constantine I facing right
COMITI AVGG NN - Sol standing facing left, radiate, holding globe in outstretched right hand and a whip in his left, mint mark PLN in exergue, star in right field
London (310-2 AD)
4.91g / 22mm / 6h
Interesting!
I didn't recall having seen it before, but looking through my photo files I found this one which might also be scale armor (lorica squamata).
