Title: unusual Constantinopolis from Siscia
Post by: Victor on February 18, 2021, 11:51:36 AM
This coin is struck on a large flan and has a bit of a double strike or maybe overstruck on something, but that would be really unusual if it is official, and the style looks fine. It is 20mm and 3.8 grams...these typically average about 18mm and 2.5 grams.

That is one wide-eyed Constantinople.

I got the coin (fast shipping from France) and it's fake. The edges of the flan are completely smooth and so are the fields. It looks pressed rather than struck.
