Title: Missing Maxentius
Post by: Victor on September 15, 2015, 09:42:47 AM
This coin never arrived and though I expect to never see it, I figured I would post it. I guess this year has not been too bad for missing coins, as I have only lost about $600- 700 worth- not a small amount, but it could have been worse.

I'd be very bummed to have coins amounting to that much money getting lost/stolen.
Sorry to hear about it.

Hey Victor,

Sorry for your lost coin.  I recently lost yet another coin.  It arrived in New York from Germany in early September and has since vanished.  I have lost several coins the last two years, four lost by USPS, one by German post.  Every coin mailed FedEx arrived, though FedEx is more expensive.

I love websites like Wildwinds, acsearch.info, CNG where one can look at sold coins.  I wish there was a website where collectors could post their lost/stolen coins.  There are websites that offer basic free setups to make a website, then to upgrade it costs a fee.  Maybe when I retire next year I'll have the time to set up a lost/stolen coins web page for collectors.   Mark
