Title: Julia Domna with bull standing in front of Athena (?) statue on reverse
Post by: Victor on January 23, 2020, 10:31:44 PM
I am having difficulty with this 19mm provincial. The obverse is IOV ΔOMNA CEB A, so Julia Domna. I can't quite make out the city on the reverse though. It looks like (?)MEΩN. Part of the problem is that there is a staue on a pedestal in front of the bull. The statue looks like it has a spear, so maybe Athena. It's not completely clear, but there might be a letter to the right of the head, maybe an I for IMEΩN. Anybody seen anything like this?
