Title: Constantine I CLARITAS REIPVBLICAE from London
Post by: Victor on June 24, 2014, 12:40:45 PM
This one just sold for $11.50...it was misdescribed as a SOLI INVICTO COMITI. The CLARITAS type is not listed for these field marks (cf RIC 120 for a Sol type) but is recorded for the next (cf RIC 124, crescent in left)

Lech already has an example on his Not in RIC page  (http://www.forumancientcoins.com/notinric/7lon-119-2.html)

Constantine I
A.D. 317

CLARITAS REIPVBLICAE, Sol rad., raising r. hand, globe in l.; stg. l., chlamys across l. shoulder; in fields S over */ P.
In ex. PLN
