Title: MAXIMIANVS GENIO POPVLI ROMANI
Post by: Victor on October 24, 2017, 02:29:31 PM
Here is an interesting coin. It seems to be Maximianus, at least this legend was used by him. It does not look like there is a mintmark, but maybe it is just not clear. The mint seems like either Trier or London, unless there actually is a mintmark. It is 24mm and was found in the UK.

Lee Toone thinks he may have found a similar shield from a Trier coin.

Trier is probably the best guess

But similar shield could be found also in Aquileia
