Post by: Victor on August 07, 2012, 11:10:28 AM
Constantine I
A.D. 316
18x19mm   3.4gm
IMP CONSTANTINVS PF AVG, laureate and cuirassed bust right
SOLI INVICTO COMITI [In honor of the unconquered Sun (god), the companion of the Emperor] radiate and draped bust of Sol
In ex. ST, in left field a cross, in right field a star.
RIC VII Ticinum 45

Some people believe that the cross in the left field has Christian significance, but I think it is just an equilateral cross.
