Yes in deed, your coin is not #171 but #177 with obverse legend 1e and bust (BB).
Here is another example:

Very cool, thank you for posting that diagram of door types and the link to other examples. I wonder why the mint at Arles was so interested in doors and... since they look so cool, why other mints never tried them out on campmates of this time?

Here is the chart that shows the different wreath decorations. From Constantinian Mint Policy by Bruun.

I am out of town now and can’t check my references, but hopefully someone else will look at this.

I bought this coin in an auction yesterday. The description is saying it is RIC vi 171 for London. However, when i checked my newly aquired Cloke and Toone book (Which I love..!) I do not think it is 171. It must be one of the coins close by 171. I cannot figure out which one though...

Late Roman Bronze coins / Constantine II Caesarum Nostrorum decorated wreath
« Last post by Corduba on December 11, 2017, 04:03:21 AM »
Hello all.

I want to share this coin i bought yesterday. It isn´t in a good shape but I like the decorated wreath.

Observe: CONSTANTINVS IVN. NOB. C.
laureate and cuirassed bust to the right.

Reverse: CAESARVM NOSTRORVM.
VOT. X inside decorated wreath with two globes.
              RT.

Constantine II Ric VII Rome 242. R1. I never see the two globes decoration.

Best regards, Ignacio.

These doors are really interesting. In this thread http://www.lateromanbronzecoinforum.com/index.php/topic,1066.msg3001.html#msg3001 there are a few examples of door decorations.
