Title: Barbarous Emperor holding victory on globe
Post by: Victor on August 13, 2013, 07:01:36 PM
I just saw this neat example, it is 22mm and weighs 3.7gm. The reverse is an emperor holding a victory on a globe, and seems to be copying either the VICTORIA ROMANORVM or RESTITVTOR REIPVBLICAE types, or perhaps (if the engraver reversed which hand holds victory) VICTORIA AVGG or FELICITAS REIPVBLICAE.
