Title: Licinius II
Post by: livingwater on June 12, 2017, 08:24:49 AM
Just got this Licinius II coin.  The ebay seller Savoca did not mention the symbol in reverse field.  I assume it was missed my some and I got it for $19.  I bought two other coins from Savoca so I split the shipping cost which brings the cost of this coin to about $26.  Though it's a little rough, not a bad buy.  Once in a while I find a bargain.

Licinius II, Victory on globe/vot xx banner, captives, Chi-Iota in left field, an unknown symbol or perhaps a stylized Chi-Rho.  Thessalonica mint, 2.17g 19mm, some silvering.  Not in RIC and I think rare.
