Title: VRBS ROMA with eyes to heaven
Post by: Victor on July 16, 2012, 04:48:56 PM
Here is an VRBS ROMA with an eyes to heaven. I had a Constantinopolis coin with the same bust. This bust type only seems to have happened at Trier- most likely artistic license on the engravers part.

VRBS ROMA
A.D. 333-4
18.5mm 2.3 gm
Obv. VRBS-ROMA [City of Rome] Roma, helmeted, wearing imperial cloak and looking up to the heavens..
Rev. She-wolf left with twins (Romulus and Remus); above, two stars with a wreath between them.
In exergue TRP
Similar to RIC VII Trier 553

Unlisted with eyes to heaven bust
