Post by: Victor on October 16, 2013, 10:29:49 AM
I just saw this one for sale. The picture is not so good, though, and no measurements were given.

Crispus
A.D. 320
CRISPVS NOB CAES; laureate and cuirassed with spear pointing forward, shield on left arm.
VOT XV FEL XX RS surrounded by wreath.
RIC VII Rome 222

I have this reserved as a part of a bundle deal:

CR - ISPVS NOB CAES; laureate draped cuirassed spear forward in right arm shield in left arm bust l.
VOT X / ET XV F / R(?)T

The question is: is that an R or a Q? Given that either way it's an unlisted coin, might it be unlisted for Rome or Ticinum?

I do remember to have seen this coin on the seller's site and as you guessed, it should be R(oma) T(ertia) and it is unlisted for crispus with this bust.
I am curious to see better pictures regarding the seller description about the reverse.
Nice purchase anyway.

Thanks for your input, I thought so myself, QT was a remote possibility anyways.
Will try to make pictures after I receive it.
