Post by: Victor on April 07, 2020, 11:47:09 AM

here's a nice example of one of my favorite types

Constantine I
A.D. 328
CONSTANTINVS MAX AVG; rosette diademed head, looking up to heavens
CONSTANTINIANA DAFNE; Victory seated l. on cippus, palm branch in left hand and laurel branch in right hand, looking r.; trophy at front, at the foot is a kneeling captive with head turned being spurned by Victory; B in left.
in ex. CONS
RIC VII Constantinople 32

Great coin!

I've been looking for a nice one of these at a good price and finally found one. My other is only in so-so condition. This one is really fun to look at. The details are amazing for such a small coin.

Yes, that is a nice example. These are addictive, like chips, you can't have just one.
