Title: rare Licinius I
Post by: livingwater on February 08, 2017, 07:56:56 PM
Hi,

I bought this Licinius I about ten years ago, 19.2mm 2.67g.  I think it's Siscia RIC VII 138, kind of rare it seems.  The mint mark is supposed to be ASIS* but the A, I and * are hard to see.  We've already had discussions about the rev symbol in the left field.  I still wonder if it's a meaningless control mark, chi/iota for something or a primitive chi-rho.  I don't think I posted this one before, sorry if I did.

thanks for posting...it's a nice example with quite a bit of silvering remaining.
