Post by: Al.cofribas on September 25, 2016, 03:40:46 PM
Hi everybody,
let me present you a new coin today . Divus Constantinus - Lyon - Aeterna Pietas - RIC. unlisted - Bastien unlisted - Cf. Bastien 9 ( Bust K*3 instead of K*1) pictures and its description (french) here : http://www.colleconline.com/fr/Artefact/Viewer/4e15b274-dfce-4fb7-ac3e-54bfeac42c48 (http://www.colleconline.com/fr/Artefact/Viewer/4e15b274-dfce-4fb7-ac3e-54bfeac42c48)

that coin seems corresponding to Bastien 9 as Bastien 2* and Bastien 2 in the PLG issue.
I enjoy

it's a nice example. it's worth noting that RIC VIII misdescribes this type as "head only" though this type from Lyons is a complete bust.

"Merci" Victor. H6 "head only" indeed. it's not easy to appreciate busts when focusing on Constantine's consecration coins; 6 mints D6, 2 mints H6 and a special place for Lyons and the AP type with both H6 and H7.
