Post by: Victor on August 09, 2020, 12:34:25 PM

Lots of LRB's have random dots in unusual places, this coin has what seems to be a clear dot after the break in the obverse legend.

Constantine I
A.D. 322- 323
18x20mm   3.5g
CONSTAN•TINVS AVG, laureate head.
D N CONSTANTINI MAX AVG, laurel wreath enclosing VOT XX.
In ex. S✶AR
RIC VII Arles 252

Here is another Arles coin with a dot on the other side of the obverse legend break. Also S✶AR mintmark...probably the same engraver.

Constantine I
A.D. 322-323
19mm   3.0g
CONSTAN-•TINVS AVG; laureate head right.
SARMATIA DEVICTA; Victory advancing r., holding trophy, palm branch, spurning captive std. on ground to right.
In ex. S✶AR
