Here is a decent Allectus I just got in a group of coins...from Israel!

The group photo is all the coins that were in the lot.

A.D. 293-296
Æ Quinarius
20mm   3.3gm
IMP C ALLECTVS P F AVG- radiate and cuirassed bust right.
VIRTVS AVG- galley with five oars.

Interesting to see this coin turn up in a lot from Israel it made a long trip to show up there. Very nice coin and overall group.

I asked the seller if he knew of the origin, but all he knew was that it was in a group of coins owned by his father. I would like to believe that it had been found in Israel, but we will never know.
