Title: Constans VICTORIA[E] DD AVGG Q NN from Trier
Post by: Victor on April 15, 2016, 09:48:43 AM
Here is a neat little unofficial coin. Notice how the wing of the victory on the right has been depicted as a branch; but overall the style is pretty good. The legends are almost perfect except that the engraver left off the E on the end of VICTORIA.

Constans
A.D. 347- 348
15mm    1.2gm
CONSTANS PF AVG; Diademed and cuirassed bust right.
VICTORIA DD AVGG Q NN; Two victories, holding wreaths upward, facing each other; Leaf between.
In ex. TRS
Cf RIC VIII Trier 185
