Title: Honorius GLORIA ROMANORVM with two captives
Post by: Victor on April 15, 2015, 05:08:44 PM
This coin is not in very great shape, but it is fairly rare.

GLORIA ROMANORVM Emperor standing right, head left, his right hand on the head of a kneeling captive, his left hand extended over a kneeling suppliant

It was issued from Rome, Aquileia and Siscia.

The seller has a ridiculous opening bid of $99.00, with a buy it now of $355. It does however come with another coin, a shabby SPES REIPVBLICE.

I just got a small group of coins today and the seller tossed this one in as a freebie. Unfortunately I can't make out the mint, but it is in great shape.
