Title: Constantine I, VOT XX, rare bust type and unlisted officina P
Post by: Nikko on May 08, 2023, 03:11:54 PM
Bruun listed this very rare type with laureate, cuirassed and draped bust only from officina S, reperire as R5.
I have been able to spot only a single specimen from the that officina in an Italian private collection.

The coin attached is from officina P, unlisted.

Congratulations once more. Very nice and rare coin. BTW, now I noticed that Constantine looks somehow similar to Crispus.

Thanks Lech, I agree about the si military with Crispus. This specific bust type is quite common for the "caesar" VOT X from Ticinum.
