another nice coin recently sold by CNG

CNG 368, Lot: 496. Estimate $150.    

“Constantine II. As Caesar, AD 316-337. Æ Follis (18mm, 2.14 g, 1h). Siscia mint, 5th officina. Struck AD 320. CONSTANTINVS IVN NOB C, laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust left, holding Victory on globe and mappa / VIRTVS EXERCIT, vexillum inscribed VOT/XX in two lines; bound captive seated to left and right; Chi-Rho to upper left; ЄSIS (star). Cf. RIC VII 133 (for obv. type) and 138-9 (for rev. type; issues of the Licinii). Choice EF, good silvering. Very rare.”
