Constantinopolis from Arles
« on: April 30, 2014, 11:20:41 AM »
I just won this coin, which has an unusual fieldmark. It is supposed to be a circle, but on this example (coin 1) it looks more like a dot surrounded by a small circle. The other two coins (coins 2 & 3) show the more typical fieldmark; which is a circle or an "O". The other interesting fact about this coin is that it is in both RIC VII and RIC VIII as RIC VII 416/ RIC VIII Arles 9. This coin, however, only belongs in RIC VIII as it is a smaller module and was erroneously listed in RIC VII.
