« on: April 12, 2014, 12:11:54 PM »
This bust type (Q) is not in RIC or Huvelin with this obverse legend (1g), it should come after RIC VI London 181

Constantine I
A.D. 310-312
23mm    4.8gm
CONSTANTI-NVS AV[G]; laureate and cuirassed bust left, holding eagle tipped scepter.
COMITI-AVGG NN;  Sol standing left, chlamys across left shoulder, right hand holding up globe, whip in left, in right field star.
In ex. PLN
RIC VI London –

Very nice coin, I had a 70+E bid on it hoped it would go unnoticed. It's also in way better condition than the ones published in NOT IN RIC.

Yes, I saw that you had bid. This example is not on Lech's page though. He has a bust type Q with obverse legend H, which is CONSTANTINVS AG

Right you are. If you decide to part with it I might want to purchase it, would you please let me know?

I will be listing it on Vcoins. I am not sure what I will price it at though. A similar example (pictured below) that sold in a 2012 auction went for around $400.00 and this type with obverse legend ending in AG is listed in Huvelin, while the above example ending in AV[G] is not listed in Huvelin, so  I will probably list it close to that and see what happens.
