I'd be surprised if this coin isn't a fake, but maybe I'm wrong. So what do you think?

Yeah - cracks are all filled in.

Here's another specimen from eBay last year.

Thanks Ben. This second specimen closes the case. So I can change my description from "almost certainly a modern forgery" to "a modern forgery".
