clumsily cast Quintillus
« on: January 12, 2019, 11:46:49 AM »
This is a poor Quintillus cast, but it is interesting. It came from an old Dutch collection and has the ticket dating it from 1929. However, it is not vey convincing and I am surprised that nobody realized it was cast, or maybe someone did, but it was part of the collection by then, so it stayed. It is not even bronze, it is cast in a white metal. The reverse is DIANA LVCIF, Diana holding torch, from Milan. 18x19mm   3.1gm
