Maximinus II CONCORDIA IMPERII from Siscia
« on: December 12, 2018, 06:50:18 PM »
I just won this coin on eBay. It is not listed in RIC VI for the obverse legend, but it should come before Siscia 173. The footnote mentions that it was recorded by Voetter…from the Voetter- Gerin catalogue (1921) it is Siscia #5.

Lech already has an example-

on a side note, RIC rates 173b as common, but these don't actually turn up that often.

GAL VAL MAXIMINVS NOB CAES; laureate head of right.
CONCORD-IA IMPERII; Concordia standing facing, head left, holding scepter; in right field VI.
