Constantine I PRINCIPI IVVENTVTIS from London
« on: October 29, 2017, 10:24:45 AM »
This coin is not in RIC for this bust type and the obverse legend is not used for either of the other PRINCIPI. It should come after RIC VI London 112, which was struck A.D. 307- 310. It's not in the new London mint book either. The weight is 5.0g, no width given.

It should come after RIC VI London 112

It is not absolutely impossible but judging from style and probability of bust type and obverse legend it is rather CT 7.06.021 (unlisted in RIC) with reverse from clogged die.

I would like to hear Lee Toone's opinion about this coin.
