these coins are being sold as reproductions and should not fool many people, but give them a fake patina and I could see more people thinking that they were genuine.

This engraver, C. Rossi, is the one who also works for Ph. Ferrando. Note that the coins are made of stain or lead.

Yes, I saw his Facebook page and reference to Ferrando. I figured the engraver probably originally made these for re-enactors.

I think that somewhere on the replica, it should have "copie" because (sometime, somehwere, somehow) there is going to be someone who will think it is genuine.

Usually there is a R (meaning Reproduction) engraved on both face.
