This bust type (F) is not listed in RIC for this series- it should be after RIC VI Londonium 265.


Constantine I
A.D. 312- 313
IMP CONSTANTINVS P F AVG, helmeted and cuirassed bust facing left with spear over right shoulder and shield on left arm.
PRINCIPI IVVENTVTIS, Prince standing facing in military garb, standard in each hand.
n ex. PLN, star in left field.

It is not really a F bust, but a DD bust of the previous issue: helmeted, radiate and cuirassed bust facing left with spear over right shoulder and shield on left arm. Nevertheless, a splendid and very interesting coin.

Yes, I did not pay attention to the radiate helmet, nor did I look at the previous issue-- but still unlisted.
