I just got a group of coins in from France. They were mostly late 3rd century. As I was looking them over, I was actually surprised by them...many of them were very nice and a few were fairly rare with some from Lugdunum. This struck me as a small collection that someone had probably purposely put together over the years, with a variety of rulers (Probus, Carus, Carinus, Aurelian, Severina, Tacitus, Gallienus, Claudius II, Diocletian, Constantius I, Constantine I) and no duplication of reverses. My gain, though, probably means someone's loss, as I would not expect to see this assortment of coins sold together unless someone had passed away. Maybe sold by a family member with no interest at all in the coins, in fact, they were sent all jumbled together in a small bag.
Here is a nice one from the group- a Constantius I from Lugdunum. RIC only lists this issue with the longer obverse legend of FL VAL CONSTANTIVS (RIC 629). It is not in Bastien either.
